this game is genuinely the best rhythm game i've played. i played it on steam, but i'm commenting here. the music is great, i love the pixel visuals, overall just perfect rhythm game altogether. my god i love this game so much...
My son got this game for his birthday and loves it. I was listening to him play it, and I think it could be made accessible for blind players with only a few adjustments. Probably one of the easiest things, that would help right away, is add an option to send everything that gets printed to the screen to the clipboard. Both Windows, with an NVDA addon, and Linux, with one of my projects, can read text sent to the clipboard automatically.
The more involved route would be to add text to speech into the game, for that, sapi5 could be used for Windows and speech-dispatcher could be used for Linux. There are probably a few other minor things that could be done, but being able to know which option is selected and hear what you are supposed to do would go a long way toward making this playable for blind gamers.
It would be really cool to be able to play this with him. If you are interested in adding accessibility, I would be more than happy to test and provide feedback.
I am half a year late, but If you haven't yet: Join their discord and ask to join the accessibility beta branch. Screenreader, audio descriptions, extra cues for Xs, and more are already implemented in beta :)
Instead of lowering the price of the game, is there any chance we could just get a Steam key with our purchase so we can access the version that updates itself?
(I'm assuming this already occurred to the devs, but it seemed worth a suggestion. I much prefer buying on Itch to support devs and the site if I can, but it's nice when it's not the less convenient option as well as the less affordable one.)
Hi, any hope for game controllers support (for each of the 2 players)? Especially on MacOS, as Big Sur 11.3 introduced recent console controllers support :)

I can't believe how good this game is. The Cafe Intermission was so magical.
i run it on mac and it opens and i see the window but the window is just black and i tried waiting for an hour
Edit: I went into terminal and gave it access to desktop then it worked!
It was because it couldn't access it's own files.
the art is AMAZING, just one thing, can you make it available for lunix?
Seems like you can play it with Steam on Linux
